Default Sportsman 700 = Very Disappointed

I guess iwill throw my two bits worth in.

The 700 is my first quad ever, and was i excited, then it started
The front diff piled up,
awd would not disengage,eratic action
while in two wheel drive front end would slam into action causing diff to pile up.
Water pump leaking,
front prop shaft not true
speedo quit

But it is not a big deal all warranty issues,
Got the shop to give it a look over fixxed all the current problems. End of story
And man does this baby chew the trails up, i cal it the RECOVER UNIT ever buddy
needs a hand and this one lends its self well to the job ever time, It will out pull and cheew ever thing in its way,
Its like her fuel ,just the price to pay for POWER,
Rides like a lincon, little bit heavy but my 28 muzilla dont help at 42 pounds per tire with out rims
Pro Armour skidplates are great, but the front grill gaurd is a bit flimsy needs to be renforced
All in all it hauls me out every time.

And as far as the water pump, who cares get it fixed its a True Amercain built engine, not jap crap

I feel for you man, we all bought 700's thinking it's the Cadilac of ATV's apparently Polaris better start reading the forums out there and make some adjustments or their going to loose market share. I don't know if they have noticed or not but there are some other big Quads breathing down their neck.

I bought mine fully aware of the issues. I pulled the cover myself and made my own gasket, The stock o-ring is hollow. Once it looses its elasticity, it will leak even if the coever is not warped. Polaris handed over the new intake manifold. I bought a 5 year warranty, and I have one of the most powerful, smoothest riding, and most capable quads on the market. If my coolant leaks again, I will not raise hell. I will not even take it to the shop. I will fix it myself in the 30 mintues it takes to do so and I will keep riding. I will not allow it to get so hot as to damage the motor. I will watch the coolant level just as I do in my Rubicon. I have installed a temp gauge and I am aware of the problem which to me means there is no issue. I beleive the Rubicon to be more reliable, but the 700 is more fun. Riding atvs susposed to fun so the Rubicon stays in the shed.

My 2 cents.
