Default Scrambler clutch kit

I'm wanting to gradually put an hpd pipe and clutch kit on, but want to buy in small spurts. So I'm thinking of buying the aggressive clutch kit first...will I notice any performance gains from just the clutch with the aggressive kit and will it run okay with the stock pipe? Thanks for the advice

Well, here's what you will run into. The stock pipe runs around 5750 at peak rpm. The HPD trail pipe runs at 6700-6800 at peak rpm. The clutch kit has to be matched to the pipe. The bike would actually run worse with the aggressive kit and the stock pipe. I would bet it would run better with the trail pipe and a stock clutch setup. If you could locate a set of s-53 weights or 10al weights (53 gram), that would work OK until you bought the whole clutch kit. If you ride quite a bit, I would wait until you bought both, but you could do the second if you had to. Hope this helps,Bubba

if you want to keep the bike stock, some lightly clutch setup changes will give you more snap but no power/speed gains.the pipe and clutch thing is a COMBO that match together the same time to run properly.
