How come no one is talking about the latest shootout? They really liked the Predator, except for the shifting. It pretty much got rave reviews across the board. I expected to see no less than a dozen posts on it, but not one. It's your turn to crow.

 

Who did this shootout? Is it posted on the net?

post the article, coz it will be like 2 weeks or more before the new one comes out here, and i would like to hear what they say.

 

I just received my dirt wheels mag. It was the first article that they ever gave the Predator a fare shake.
I do disagee with the shifting problems. Me and everyone else that has ridden mine has absolutely no problems shifting or powershifting. I figure it's just a matter of breaking in the heavier duty clutch.

I don't have a scanner and it's a little long to type it out but here is a brief.

1: The rated the predator the best on the track, next was cannondale, then z400, and the raptor was last.

2: On the drag race the rappy was first followed closely by the pred and cannon with the z a distance 4th

3: They gave the rappy and z400 the tops on the trail. saying that the pred is very capable, and that the cannondale was fourth.

They didn't place either quad overal, just basically saying by was suits you

nope, and they didn't even list the track times, unless i missed it. I like to think that the predator was so far ahead that they didn't want to embarrass their advertiser's opps, i mean the competition. just playin not looking to start a flame. Polaris did have a nice two page ad in their. Maybe that's why they did so well [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I have to admit they were pretty noncomittal in their winners. I would have given the overall win to the Predator myself. Narrowness on a quad isn't all it's cracked up to be on the trail. For example: Off cambers. A narrow quad with a top heavy feel won't do much for the confidence of it's rider if it feels as if the quad is going to tip over all of the time. Still, I agree with stryder in the fact that they didn't want to P.O. their advertisers.

Just for once I would love to ride in the nirvana that these guys call "trails". Because in all of my years of riding, I haven't come across them.
