when ever i am slowing down and almost stopped my belt or something starts making a thumping noise in the black cover does anyone know what that would be

 

right before my belt went in my old scrambler, the loose flapping pieces of belt were hitting the cover from the inside, but only when I slowed to a stop. The belt shredded and blew apart pretty quickly. As I remember, I heard the same noise when I slowed down for 3 or 4 road crossings, kept going about a mile and all of a sudden all I had was neutral, neutral, and neutral. I would say that something is inside your housing, it could be foreign debris or a mouse or something, but I would bet on the belt starting to disintegrate. Replace it before you have to walk home.

 

well ijust bought mine a week ago for it do youthink that is why it is doing that maybe my belt needs to get warm down alittle then it will quite makin that noise

 

do you mean you just put in the new one a week ago? Either way, it shouldn't be making that noise. Pull the cover off and have a look.

 

i think north star is right sounds like your belt is starting to come apart.

i have a question for you hannahj how do you like your tire set up?? do the holeshots give you much traction?? it doesn't push any in turns??

i have just been riding on the road lately havent been on the trail be they ride great i have 21x7x10 the all traks are awesome though i cant wait to roost some people

 

oh and yes i just put the belt on ill have to give it a check
