Does the Pred 'feel' heavy?
#2
In my opinion no, it seems to be easily throwin around with the suspension as good as it is. My comparison is my lt250r that I've ridden for 4 years and it weighs alot less. And from the word on the street the Pred isn't as heavy wet as a raptor, this is what the mag's say not proven info.

Well, I sold my Z and this summer I will probably buy a quad to ride with my family and friends who have quads at dunes and on the trails so, I was looking at either another Z or perhaps a predator. I am primarily a dirt bike kind of guy but, since I have several friends and family that ride quads I need to accomodate them

Here is where I stood on the purchasing of a new quad. I was partial to Suzuki's, but when it came down to it I wanted to get the most for my money and I feel I did.
Reasons I didn't go for the LTZ/KFX: I felt that 400cc's was a tad too small, adjusting the rear suspension wasn't fun(too confined), and that dang rear swing arm design. I had 3 Old Lt's and hate that box design bearing carrier.
Reasons I didn't go for the Raptor: Didn't want to have to widen or lengthen anything. I liked the power but I hated the 2 carb design. Didn't feel that the raptor was worth all the $$$$.
Reasons I went for the Predator: good suspension and its all rebuildable, great travel, braided steel brake lines, chromoly axle. The down sides are, first year machine, company that never had a "sport" quad, no reverse
I'd say take a good hour per machine and ride, look, and "toy" with things. Either machine you choose will do the job, just matters on what aspect of the job you want to achieve.
