I think Honda needs to come out with a new bike... Service Honda is doing something neat, but C'mon Honda engineers - counterbalance a CR500R and throw it in a newly designed frame.

Do you have any idea how many people would die on an atv frame with a cr500 motor in it!!, thats probably why they didnt make one way back in the late 80's and early 90's.

That would be a sweet quad thow.

 

Yeah I agree with dragracer, not many guys could handle that kind of power unless they detuned and detuned and detuned that motor. It would be awesome for drags though. The atv mags are still raggin on honda for not changin the 400ex but I heard the 2004 with the bigger carb is just as powerful as a z400. If they put a liquid cooled engine with the bigger carb it would have been nicer but I think they wanted to sell a few more ex's for this year so they put the bigger carb so they'd still be competitive and then early next year they'll unveil their big gun or guns. I hope they make two a race ready and a fast trail quad that is cheaper than the race quad.

 

I think a factory CR500 powered quad would be THE $hit... The frame would have to be completely redesigned though - there are so many stresses when you step up to that much power.. I know, if they were going to do it, they would have done it when the LT500 came out.. Awesome thought though - makes me want to ride...
