a family friend of ours is probably buying his girlfriend a quad sometime in the next couple months. She's around 30 years old, not sure if she has any experience at all riding one. He's not looking at her becoming a racer and heavily modding the quad either.

i think the best options would be:

Honda 250EX
Polaris Trailblazer 250

id say out of them the Trailblazer... the auto tranny and smoother ride would probley suit her better... esspecially if she has never rode anything before... i would also recomend looking at a wolverine for the 4x4 also if she gets in a tricky spot... just my 2 cent...

 

The 250 class bikes are great for adult beginners and intermediate kids.

 

personally I would get a 300ex. They can take a beating and not too fast but still kinda sporty.

 

I'd get the 250ex. It's easy to ride with an auto-clutch, light weight, and a very low maintenance Honda. I'm not a kid or a beginner anymore but I think the 250ex would be fun to have!
