Can anyone help, I'm looking for a thumb throttle conversion for the GasGas 450. I've seen one on gasgasatv, but I'm still waiting for a reply.

I live in the UK and need one quick, does anyone know who else sells a conversion? I dont have time to modify anything, and dont have the bike delivered yet.

i'm not sure if/how the trottle cable is different on the 450, but on the 300 i put a banshee throttle on it & bought a 41" custom cable from trinity racing for a banshee with thier single carb conversion. i got the throttle of ebay for like $40 & it came with a polished cover, i just took out the torrs sensor & plugged the hole with the grommet & some silicon... or you can go with a terrycable/moose throttle...
some guys have used 87-92 LT250R throttles too, but the cable is a little short

 

Why would the existing cable not fit the thumb throttle? too short?
Unfortuneately I dont have the bike till next Friday, so I cant see the cable fittings. If I could get a response from ggatv then I would simply order their kit.

 

the cable housing will probly bolt up fine, but usually the cable is slightly longer & has a different end (smaller) on a twist throttle.

 

Thanks for the replies. I managed to get hold of Kevin at ggatv and have ordered the thumb throttle with cable.

I should get the new bike one week today. - The GG is road legal in the Uk so I can get some practice in whilst on the way to the practice track. Cant wait.
