Default dirt trails

i ride on dirt and gravel trails and sometimes mud...i was wondering what chain lube i should buy...i am new to owning a quad so i have alot of questions that are stupid to most of you...and where do i get it...thanks in advance...one more thing...what do i use to clean my k&n air filter

Your chain is permanently lubed at the factory. Each pivot is injected with grease, and the O-ring is there to hold the grease in. Therefore, you really don't need to lube the internals of your chain...only the outside where it interfaces with the sprockets, and you need to keep your O-rings supple, so they don't crack.

I use Maxima chain wax. It dries, so it doesn't attract dirt. Wet lubes will attract dirt, and become grinding paste and destroy your O-rings.

I think a good oil is Bel ray o ring safe oil.

I agree with reconrangern on this. I forget the stats but something like 85% of chain wear is in the pin and roller. With an O ring chain your covered. If you lube your chain with sticky lubes it can sometimes cause more wear. Sand and volcanic soils will really wear your chain if they can stick to it.
