Default New tires for a 250ex

I basically ride all grass/trail/mud and often times road. A lot of my riding can include rock climbs and a lot of jumping fallen logs that would otherwise bottom me out. I also jump very often. I ride 1-2 hours a day and more on weekends. My mods are: a K&N Air Filter and a Big Gun Exhaust. What are some good tires for this, and if you could suggest more than 1 type then a few with varying price ranges would be nice!

I have tried different tires over the years, but I keep going back to the ITP Holeshot XC's. They are square, and add a lot of stability to any machine. We ride desert, and highly technical rocky terrain in the mountains (but no mud). They wear great, and never a cut case or problem of any kind.

How much does a set of them generally cost?

Might want to take a look at the SR radials as well. H-D's are good for eastern trails, but they are heavy, and tend to hold the little 250 back.

If you are on a a budget, the standard Holeshot is less expensive and lighter. I haven't run them in years, but back when they tended to wear out quickly. They reformulate tire rubber all the time, so it may be better now (???).

I've got Interco Swamp Lites on my Ozark 250. They work great and I did not notice any decrease in speed or anything with them. The lugs grab the rocks and pull you through and mud hole you encounter (except ones that only 4x4s can go through). They hook up great on dirt and grass and they say that these are close to being radial tires. They have a surprisingly smooth ride! These tires are six ply and I have not had any problems with puntcures. They wear great, as I have ridden mine on the road many times and they still have JUST ABOUT full tread. I may have lost about a millimeter and a half of tread, and the lug size on this tire is one inch. So it lost 1.5 mm from one inch. (A milllimeter is about the width of a dime.) This is great considering I have done donuts with them, many burnouts, road riding, wheelies, jumping off logs, burning through thick mud, and everything you can think of in around 1 year. I say it is a great tire for me, but take a look around, you may find something you like more, like the ITPs! My friend has the older version of the ITP XCTs and they hold their own. Not the best for mud, but definately not the worst.
