Hey recon, it drives you crazy that not everyone agrees with you. You have posted the same thing over and over. Do what you will, not everyone thinks you're an atv god!</end quote></div>
Well so have you...hot shot!!! Have you ever broken in machines both ways and experienced the difference??? If not, how the f--- would you know???
I have probably been riding since before you were born, and have broken in dozens of machines (my list below, does not include the dirt bikes I had in earlier years). In the old days, we did it your way, because in ignorance we didn't know any better....
Break your freaking machines in any way you wish folks! Do it the wrong way, and be down on power for the life of that engine...it's your choice!

Show me a dyno of two machines broke in both ways. Good for you on dating yourself for everyone. You just proved that you are a stubborn old man. I have done many machines like this and I have never had a problem and WHEN I raced I was always in the top of the field. My machines can't be too under-powered. Do you have a machine capable of 113mph with about 2500 miles on the same 2 stroke piston? I have a 1981 IT465 that is one of the fastest machines I've been on (other than the CR500) and it still runs strong.

Older can just mean more experienced! If you go to other forums like thumpertalk that have a much wider and more diverse and experienced audience than this forum, you will find that the general concensus out there is that you should break it in hard.
You decide for yourselves folks, but take a good long read of Motoman's article before you make up your minds!!!
