I just bought a lt230 and there is some kind of thing that i think is aftermarket on the handelbar.
It is on the left side of the handel bar,it looks like a brake cable with a brake lever, but it goes to the top left of the motor, and when i pull the lever it kils the engin,and rolls this device forward, the only way to make it go back is to first kick the kickstart then the lever will go back.

Please help, what is this

No, thats probably the decompression lever. It makes the bike easier to kick over. Don't touch it when the bike is running.

 

pullin the clutch wont make it die lol, it is the decompression lever, i had a 230 and mine had it, i unhooked it, and never used it anyways.

 

it is the decompresion lever. my quuad has one and the same thing happens when you pull it. and i dout it is aftermarket. maybe the lever is but the system isnt.
