ive never jetted before but i know how to tare down a carb and know what all the parts and jets are.i guess the first time its just trial and error.
right now its running on 20:1 and it cuts out at the top end of first gear.is that the main jet?do i need to go leaner a size?the plug is black.so it is not lean
where can you get amsoil at?i dont think iv ever seen it.ill check next time i go to the dealer

hey man, You should consider going to 40:1. Its safe and its cleaner than 32:1. I recomend klotz, amsoil, and redline. you can get amsoil at NAPA auto. stores now. The spuddering your bike is doing is from a rich main jet. (to big) You will be suprised how well your bike will run after it is re-jetted right. Its real easy. First, loosen the boot clamps and twist the carb so the bottom is facing you. Take the screw on the bottom off (bowl screw). The main jet is right there. Cant miss it lol. Take a socet and unscrew it and put in a diffrent one. Dont tighten to tight or to loose!! good luck. If you have any questions talk to me on aim.

Belray gummed up my powervalve something awful. I use Yamalube 2R and it doesn't.
