LT250 r Clutch issues...
#1
Had the best ride ever on Saturday,Found a new series of trails that have a bit of everything,
Roadside,abandoned roads,forest trails and sandpits
Its only 40 miles from home
ANYWAY the downside is the clutch started slipping at the top 25% of the powerband.
Questions
is there a quick fix?
how much more time can I get out of it?
It looks like a real complex operation in the manual, Any things to avoid?
Finally are there performance mods for the clutch I should go for?
Thanx!

I'd just go ahead and get a new clutch kit for $90. It'd be money well spent. BTW, you have a pic of your quad? I too have an 86 LT250R and love it too death. Only problem is I get to ride it maybe 3x a month.

86 clutches are fairly easy, actually seem easier than what the manual says. Scuffing them will get a little more out of'em, but go ahead and buy a good clutch kit and you'll have no more problems for a while if you got the $$...

Thanx fer the Quick Replys!
I Guess Iam gonna be buying the parts to save the hassle.
Ps Only 3 rides a month... I should b so lucky
I have been out only 8 times since I got my machine in Febuary this year!
I should have a web page for my ride setup in a week or 2
