If your in that rough of terrain then just use your low range, its like using the first 2 gears on a manual.

I still think the auto is better for most people.

Its better for alot of people who have to do work and stuff. Like plowing..

Try them both out and pick the one you like best. Auto suited me better.

BigBaller you probably aren't going to change your perspective on true autos due to the quads you have listed that you own, Its not that people are lazy or don't know how to shift, because I have a Z 400 and back in the day I raced mx and desert on dirt bikes, so obviously I know how and when to shift, or at least I would like to think so. Take drag racers, as in automobiles, they use autos cause they are quicker but almost all of them can probably shift if they jump into something that requires a clutch. I think its just plain machoisim that gets in our way for choosing the auto, because lets face it , it isn't as cool as banging through all the gears. The only reason I originally picked an auto was so my wife would ride it and possibly want it letting me buy a new sport quad for myself. that plan only in part worked as she didn't ride but I got a sport quad anyway, which by the way was for sand use.
