Default His and Hers Eigers

This seems like a great site to get info. It helped this newbie and his wife to make a hopefully sound decision on a two quad purchase. We will be picking up two Suzuki Eiger 400, 4x4, automatics next week. Per this site we have told the dealer to install an in-line fuel filter between the petcock and carb. We also are having windshields installed on both units. Any other advise or tips would be great. Thank's

You are buying an excellent machine. I would suggest a pair of hot grips and a thumb warmer. Best thing ever for enjoying winter driving! Also a pair of muffs for the really cold days.
We are heading out on the trail today for an all day ride at -15F. I would never go without them.
Other than that, the Eiger is pretty much good as is. Hope you have a winch though. Use mine often.

Good decision with the Eigers. I now have close to 800 trouble free miles on mine since new. Best bang for the buck out there. You should be very happy.

Ask the dealer to install a 126 main jet in them and turn out the air/fuel mix screw 1.5 turns. Eigers are way to lean from the factory.

In really cold weather you should try a pair of handlebar gauntlets. They stay attached to each grip and are like big mittens covering each side. They keep your hands pretty toasty even without grip/thumb warmers.

They sure do!!! But if you have the heated grips the big mitts become ovens! The only way to ride in the cold. A thumb warmer sounds silly until yer out riding with the heated grips and you realize that the only thing cold is yer thumb.

The Eiger is a great machine.2500 miles, but I've replaced front brakes, bearings, and steering stem bushings. Had a problem with the floats sticking but all was better after cleaning and new jet kit. I have 26" mudlites, EPI clutch kit, too. Backup lights are a definite plus and easy to install since the leads are already provided, all ya need is the light and a relay. I added some extra lights to the front since the stockers dont always point the way.

Good luck with yer Eigers, you'll love em!

Over 3000 miles on mine with very few problems. Most of which are created from my own stupidity.
