Default Eiger tie rod

My left tie rod is not totally straight on my 2003 Eiger. I want to replace just the rod. Has anyone ever done this? If so, how hard was it?
Thanks for the help.

Easiest way to change it is to pick up the front end and stand up your bike on end.

Thanks for the info guys.
Have you ever broken or bent one? I bought a used 2003 Eiger and noticed that one of the rods had a very slight bend in it so I thought it would be best to replace it. Is it hard to bend or break one of these? Thanks for the help.

It's fairly easy. I bent one on my king so I sleeved it for now and i'm gonna try and have one machined because stock ones are junk. Use a hammer with the hard plastic tips to wack the tie rod ends. Not sure about the eiger, but the tie rod ends on mine both unscrew the opposite direction. Hardest part is getting the toe out right.
