KQ -ECM update

Default KQ -ECM update

Well, I received the letter for the product update campaign on Jan 22nd. I called my dealer and set up an appointment for my first service and ECM swap. They have all the ECM replacements in stock for all the KQ's that they have sold. Appointment is for the 3rd. So next Thursday I will have her back.

Default KQ -ECM update

I haven't received my letter yet, but I have already had the new ECM installed. The dealer put mine on when I took the KQ in for the first service.

i have to wait about a week to pick up my KQ they are waiting on a CDI box at least that is what they told me was recalled you hear anything about that or are they really talking about that ECM?

..I was the one who informed my dealer TODAY that there is a recall/product update (screw the customer,just get it past the 6 month warranty )..going on..they didn't know anything about it..and they are a large dealer...LOl ..sick

My ECM went bad right after I got the letter and they are on back order[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

Was it the new one that went bad or the old one?

From what I have been reading on the different forums, if your dealer says it is on backorder, he did not follow the instructions on the fax that was sent to him. Supposably, there was enough stock to take care of all of the affected machines.
