87 LT230 clutch help
#1
Hey everyone: I was just messing with my LT230 yesterday for the first time in a while. LAst time I rode it was about 3 years ago and then the clutches went and I put it away so i could play with my other toys. I since then took it back out and took the motor out of it to put new clutches in it. Now I know I put the clutches in right seeing as I have done them multiple times on my other bikes. What has me bewildered is that they are in correctly but with the motor out of the bike and if I turn the clutch shaft in the motor I cant get the clutches to let the tranny roll free. Now my question is what could be the problem. It it just a thing of it has to be in the bike and all oiled up or what. I mean i am to the point where I am out of ideas and suzuki wants some crazy price to just look at it and I'm not willing to spend the money for that old of a bike. I just wana get it back up and runnin again. It has been very good to me in the past and I hate to let it sit. Right now its runnin cobra exhuast, dg nerfs and bumper, durablue rear axles with inch half spacers on front and rear wheels. And its lowered with ice tires on it. Thx for all the help.
