Thumb throttle streetbike??
Nah, I have problems controlling a quad with a twist throttle. I wasn't trying to upset you, just looking to give you my knowledge and experience. You obviously are going to put the thumber on, so good luck with that. Have you tried posting on a streetbike forum?

Thumb throttle streetbike??
HEY! What kind of bike do you have? The RX-1 has a thumb throttle, 4 cylnder! it'll probably work slick on a R1! ..Or! find a sled with the same # of cylinders, amd buy it's cable set-up, (unless it's oil injected, then it'll have one extra! for the oil flow control) and adapt it to your machine...Most sleds use a Mikuni or Kei-hin carb...
Or...if your bike has a common throttle shaft, (like most inline 4's) just steal your quads single cable!

Thumb throttle streetbike??
THANKS A MILLION. thats exactly what i needed to know ps94. I apologize for any hostility i showed in my post. I have just got some very rude replies lately from some people on here, and i thought thats what was about to get started again. Unfortunately i dont have a bike yet for the simple fact that i was unsure about the thumb throttle. Now i am dead set on getting one, however i would like to go with honda rather than yammy, do you think this would make a difference? If not i will compromise with the yammy because i have been procrastinating getting a bike for so long.
thanks again!!!!!
thanks again!!!!!

I don't think it'll make a difference, BUT - Keep in mind some places require the push/pull throttle by law..doing the thumb throttle you might have to bypass that...other than that, I don't see much problems, went and looked at my CBR, it has 1 cable pulling on all 4 carbs..( and then the push one) my ninja is the same way..so, a thumb throttle off of any quad with a similar length, and bar diameter should work just great..You just won't have the added safety of being able to pull the throttle shut if somthing sticks..
