king quad top speed?
#23
I was HARD pressed to acheive 64mph on my KQ speedo on a County Roadway while my GPS read 58.1 mph.I was running 26x9x12 589 tires on all four corners and had a huge cargo box loaded down with extra emergency items..I also have a warn 2.5 Winch on the front.
NOWHERE near 72 on my KQ!

We have tested king quads on a radar gun many times. ...when they are wound out ,with STOCK tires,...they do 64 mph on the radar....I know ,the speedo(dream meter) says faster...but they hit the rev limiter at 64 mph.
...with 27" mud lites installed..it will only hit 59 mph on the gun...no matter how far you go...on level ground ,of course.
it does prove that most people are not even close to being prepared for how much is lost from oversized tires.
...64 on a radar gun is actually really good for a utility 4x4.

I own a King and have had a Raptor, and I can tell you the King is fast for what it is, but I could easily smoke the King if I still had my old Raptor, if you know how to ride, its not close! I am not saying the King is slow though, I was surprized when I bought it, but I can't wait for a module and some other power mods to come out!
