Oh $hit! I got my 06 almost as soon as it came into the dealer. I had to get mine in NY because they didn't have any here yet. The white ones came in 2 weeks or so before I got mine. I did all my mods before I was through a tank of gas. Hope they don't pull any BS with me. Had mine since Sept. 3
Think mines f'd yet? Guess I got until March 3rd.

on my quad the dealer replaced the whole water pump assemblyy, not just the cover.. it took forever though to get the parts in because everything is on back order. He said that he is expecting a recall though because of the fact that hes called around and a large number of dealerships are reorting the problem. plus the fact that everything is on back order is going to hint to the dips*its at suzuki that something is up. and by the way, if you have a 05 or 06 the machine WILL NEED to be fixed. as soon as your quad had coolant put in it it was pretty much fu$ked. Make sure if you use the same magnesium cover after you get everything replaced that you use EVANS NPGR COOLANT. itll prevent future corroding.

Well, I will probably have to disassemble mine to check it out, since the dealer was no help, I also purchased the extended warranty, but if they had to rebuild it, I do not think it would be as good as factory.

I will not change anything, my 05 is still under warranty, if corroded, I will take back to dealer for inspection and replacement. But when I looked at my bike and the picture in the earlier post it looks like the clutch cover is the culprit.

Ok whats the deal who has tried the old style alum. cover off an 03 or 4 on an 05, totally flushing the system with the Evans flush, used the Evans coolant and checked it after a couple hours. Does this fix the problem I am a Technician at a Dodge dealer here in Kansas and i could not beleive the responses i was getting when calling local Suz. and Kaw. dealers and speaking to their service managers and techs. I was told they have never heard of such a thing and i had no idea was i was talking about... This includes the dealership i purchased it at 2 weeks ago. I called Suzuki Customer Service and spoke with a very nice woman. she said this is a nation wide problem and all servicing dealers have been informed of the problem.. Um okay well every one except the ones in freakin Kansas.. So WTF im just gonna fix it myself instead of some jacka** getting paid by suzuki to do my warranty work.. I just wanna know who has tried what and what works.... TIA

Just get yourself an earlier model aluminium cover, an oil seal, gasket and extra bolt and swap them over.
Its not hard to do and go riding while everyone else is bitching about it.
