z250s

is there a website that i could check out? Also, does anyone have 22" tires on the back of their z250? if so how do they look and how much low end did you lose? also how close do they come to the black plastic guards? i wanna order some this week because i top out 5th gear on the limiter. I just bought a new GPS so i can see how fast it goes now with the head porting and header. I just raced a yamaha 450 something sport utility and his tops out at 55 and I smoked his ***. And i mean bad, like 20 bike lengths or more. So i paced him next race until he topped out at 55 and i left him ( I waved bye bye) LOL it was quite funny. Kinda reminded me of some fast and furious crap.....He seemed to think it'll do at least 60 on the limiter. I tell you this is a very impressive 250cc engine. Also I might add, with all of my mods i have not had any starting or reliability issues. You ride mine and you'd never know it wasn't stock until to open it up. I let this older fellow ride it this weekend because He want to by his 11 year old son one. Well he handed the bike back to me and said never mind. I asked why and he said it was waaay to fast. He told me when he shifted to 2nd it almost flipped over on him...whoops I forgot to tell him about that...LOL. Then I told him what all I had done to it and he changed his mind. He said for a small quad it was comfortable and it handled and rode well. I'll be honest, I never thought this little quad would be this fast...and I'm not done yet.

This weekend I had a chance to put my ebay Z250 rear shock on my Ozark. I ran into some troubles, the Z250 shock has a roller bearing for the upper mount. I was missing one side of the inner bushing that slides into the needle bearing. Also the inside diameter of the bushing is too large for the Ozark shock bolt.
Luckily I work in a machine shop so I designed a new custom bushing in Autocad and will have a few made up. After looking at micro fiche of each rear suspension setup's (Ozark and Z250) I found that the Z250 has roller bearings in the swingarm pivot instead of bushings like the Ozark.
So there's another mod I need to do. Must allow the rear suspension to react faster.

Im back with more news...
So yesterday I get a letter from Chaparral saying the Pro Circuit pipe has not came in yet, and there is no date they are expecting to get any. They did not charge the $300 for it, so I called them intending on ordering the White Bros. E2 instead. BUT they do not have those in stock either, and have no idea when they would be able to get them.
To hell with Chaparral.
Im just saving up an extra hundred odd bucks to get the Big Gun Evo X system from Motosport.com. Sorry suzukirider, I know I left you down lol, but hey at least you learned who not to buy from *ahem* CHAPARRAL *ahem*

I hate chaperral too. My endurance computer went out a couple months ago and I called them and they told me its not thier problem, call the manufacterer. hmmm. then yesterday i called to order some 22" tires and none of the prices they quoted me on the phone matched the catalog i just got about 3 weeks ago. they would not honor the prices either. Then she tried to tell me that the tire was never the price i told her....hmmm i was looking at the catalog as i was talking to her and even told her the damn part number. I called up rockymountain and ordered the same tires for $20 each cheaper, so with the money i was saving i ordered a DG aluminum grab bar. Also I'm quit excited about the GPS I just mounted to my bike. I'm gonna put some pics of it on here. You have to check it out at www.Garmin.com. (the arm band comes off and you can't tell it was there.) Its called a forerunner 101. $99 at target. It tell you max speed (haven't ran it yet, but soon...topped out in 4th at 45.1mph.), current speed, the time, your position, navigation, is waterproof, and the backlight is awsome, lights up bright orange like a honda forman. You can set up the screen to read 3 different features and can put mph as large digits. I mounted it where the reverse and neutral light go and moved them down. it fits really well. can't wait till the weekend to go riding now, should have my new tires on too...
