85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
thanks, it is a totally different bike. i cant believe the difference. i didnt have any issues mounting the nerf bars. i am happy to say that i finally got a part on that didnt need any custom work aside from that bolt of course.
I'm having issues getting my QS to idle. It runs fine, i just cant get it to idle. It seems like every time i fire it up im messing with the adjustments on the carb, and evey time i think i have it figured out, the next time i ride it doesnt run the same. what works one day, doesnt work the next. Last night for example, i wasnt able to keep it running on its own without having the idle screw all the way in, regardless of where i had the ratio screw. whats my problem here, does my carb need a rebuild kit, or is it a jetting problem? do i need to adjust my needle higher or lower? I know it almost has to be an issue with the fuel delivery, because it runs just fine other than than. I have sprayed carb cleaner on the rubber boot and it changes nothing, so i know i dont have an air leak. I just dont have enough experience with this thing to diagnose it. Its bored .010 over and has a uni air filter.
Thanks in advance for any help

yes, it will... what does that suggest. I was planning to take the carb off this weekend and make sure anything wasnt wrong insided there. maybe something came loose, i had it running good (i thought) a few weeks ago. Other than that, i wouldnt know where to start. Jet size to small?
thanks Twin Stacks, and i was lookin at pics on the vault of nerf bars and the idiot who had this bike before me welded the pegs and thos bar like things together and he also welded the shifter mount to it. So i cant get the shifter off it or put nerfs on it without buying new pegs.(wich i will do)
okay, i was playing with my lt230e and went to fire it up with those other spark plugs. It almost worked, and died right away. Tried it again and nothing. I then sprayed some starter fluid in and she fired right up and i heard a pop noise. I emediatly though **** the piston clipped the spark plug... i then took plug out and it was fine. Put it back in and tried it again and i heard a poof type sound. What was this from and what happened? My ngk's are in the mail so yay!
