85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.
Looking to put a smaller rear sprocket and new chain on my 86 S model. Anybody know where the best place to get a 39T with a chain for a good price? Im lookin to get a little more top speed. Or, if anyone has an extra layin around that they wanted to sell, shoot me a PM.
Also, needing to change my axle bearings in the rear, gettin sloppy. how hard of a job is that? Probably ought to get that fixed before riding season gets into full swing, get a little vibration in the handle bars at high speed, i figure thats probably the problem
Thanks guys.

oh yea one more ?, is there a shifter for anything out there without a goofy linkage that will mate up to the 230 and be the right length to fit your foot comfortably? mine is all worn out, neutral is a pain in the a**** to find, was going to maybe buy/build a new one, but if there was something off another bike that was just a straight shaft instead of all that linkage then it would be nicer probably. if anyone knows of anything let me know, thanks
no. they have chains though. ive read a lot of different things about chains on here. some use straight roller and like them better. i use o-ring as do many others. i also heard of x-ring chains which are supposed to be the best of both worlds and the price reflects it. ive never used one but i think they sell them at rmatvmc too.

I run a generic dirtbike shifter that my mechanic ordered for me. The splines are the same and it bolted right on. I wish I could remember but I think it was an emgo product? It puts the shifter a little longer toward the front of the bike but I like it. I'll look at the box and receipt when I get home after work and give you the details.
