Where can I find a copy of the shop manual? All I have found is clymer and I hear they suck.
Yeah, I ran that idea by vince and he said that is what you'd think, but where you will see the problems in the 230/250 is the big end of the rod. At high rpm the little roller bearings stop rolling and start sliding and get flat spots. After that, you're done! That is why he'd like to work on your crank before you add a big bore kit. He quit selling parts, but still does all the crank work.

If you do not have a manuel, you need to get one. Beleive what you hear if you want, I have them both (230/250). Yes, I can see where a manuel could be wrong from time to time but it's not a good reason to count them out.
The crank's on the 230 and 250 are not the same.

i have the clymer and it does suck but it works .. Funny thing is my new rod has a ?? bronze bushing that is 1mm smaller than the hole its in maybe that is whats different bout rods ?????? who knows im lost at this stuff i guess. What i do know is that the only way i can get rings is to buy a whole piston kit for my 265 cc kit. going to try 4 stroke tech as mylast resort

I think you misunderstood me. I was wanting to know where to find a real shop manual because I hear that clymer sucked (by sucked I think they mean it dont give all the info you need - not that it gives wrong info). I'll take a clymer if that is all that is out there.
