i have the clymer and it does suck but it works .. Funny thing is my new rod has a ?? bronze bushing that is 1mm smaller than the hole its in maybe that is whats different bout rods ?????? who knows im lost at this stuff i guess. What i do know is that the only way i can get rings is to buy a whole piston kit for my 265 cc kit. going to try 4 stroke tech as mylast resort</end quote></div>

I'm still pretty sure the 273 kit is a 250 sleeve, piston, and rod with a bronze reducing ring inserted in the big end like you said (so it will fit the smaller 230 crank). Either that or is awful coincidental that the bore of the 250 and the stroke of a 230 make a 273!

Call weisco tomorrow and I'm sure they can get you rings for a 1990 lt250s.

Back to the rockers... Both look identical, with the exception of the lil block on the back of the exhaust rocker for the compression release.. Bikebandit only lists the exaust rocker part number

I just ordered some stuff from rockymountain a few days ago and I was getting free shipping so I thought I would get one of those "real" repair manuals they sell. Nope! They don't have them for the 230. Every other suzuki they have, but not the 230. I would happily pay $50 for the real deal. Not sure I want to give $30 for a clymer, but if that is all that is around....

Not sure what you are saying... The intake and exhaust are the same part number??? So, if you needed new rockers you'd have to get the exhaust one for the intake with the little block?

I am not sure, look at bikebandits OEM page, they don't list a part number for the intake rocker just the exhaust!

I have many new and old rockers (both intake and exhaust) and I can't tell the difference except the thing for compression release on back of exhaust..

They must be all the same except the bump on the back. It would save production costs if they were.

I hope so, I'll break out the micrometer and compare the two.

Cool! Lunch will work.

After playing around with dynosim I see how reducing exhaust backpressure is about the most significant power increasing mod I can do. So, curious me, I decided to cut apart my exhaust and see what's inside. Let me tell ya, the inside looks nothing like what you'd think from looking at the outside. The cone does nothing. The primary tube runs right thru the cone,,, I thought it would stop at the cone, but it didn't. Then, there are 2 more baffles inside the big cylinder right before the spark arrestor. And last in the chain is the baffle you can see from the outside at the tail. I took out the 2 baffles and left the spark arrestor and tail baffle and welded it back up. My spark plug is black now which I consider a good thing because that means I'm getting more vacuum at the carb due to reduction of backpressure. So, I put in a smaller jet and got it running right again. I don't know how it really runs yet because its been raining here for 2 days, but I'll be sure to post back.
