I could replace the plug boss, sure. But I'm using it as a test case for the other threads.

First tests of the Permatex revealed that 10 year old crap you find in your dad's garage is indeed crap. Never set up.
Next trial with brand new stuff worked out ok.

I hope this solution will work out for the cover bolts. There's only a few pounds of torque on them anyway. And this goo could be worked into the cracks, too. Can't fill cracks with helicoils.

wow, looks like i have some reading to do, its been too long. trying to look for another 230 to work on, im trying to sponsor a vintage atv race, at the local track, but getting enough people to make these old bikes race ready is a challenge, they would rather sink their money into a 450r or something.

I know a feew of you guys are running overbore or big bore kits, I was wondering what carbs and jetting you guys are running? My 265 kit seems to run out of fuel on the top end, I'm still running the stock carb and tried to compensate as best I could but it doesn't seem to be enough. Thanks guys.

For ignition coils you can get universal coils online for pretty cheap, or go onto a site like Cheap Cycle Parts, Dennis Kirk, Bike Bandit, or any other site that sells OEM parts, although these will be a little more expensive.

Look on Dennis Kirk or Motorcycle Superstore for universal ignition coils they run between $15 up to about $100 depending on which one you want.
