Default extended a arms

Does anyone know how to post pics on here, I fabricated a set of +2 a arms using 87-92 lt250r upper and lower a arms and heim joints and would like to post some pics.

Host your photos on Photobucket or similar, then post the file name with the IMG tags. I really want to see these arms!

Default a arms and pics

Sorry about the slow response and thanks! to jesimmers for getting that picture to post, when I click on the image tag 9 small x's show up in the upper left corner of the box where I write the post. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but I do have more detailed pictures to post. And yes Big Mc they are 14" works shocks. I made the a arms using 87-92 Suzuki lt250r upper and lower arms. I used these arms because the lower ones line up very close to the 230 and they are straight where the mounts are as opposed to the 85-86 lt250r that are on an angle. I bought some 1/2" x 5/8" heim joints with 3/4" bungs from barnes offroad on ebay. I cut the mounts off of the lower arms and the bungs fit right inside and welded them in. For the upper arms I cut arms right to where the ball joint mounts and welded 3/4" i.d. dom steel tubing to the same angle of the stock 230 arms and welded the bungs in. This took a little trial and error to get the angle right but everything seems to line up nice and it also moved the front wheels forward about 1/2" to 3/4" and widened the front about 2 1/2" on each side. This also allowed me to use 14" works shocks. They are a little to forward and the top mount is a little low so I am going to weld a new mount behind the stock one an 1" higher. I'm trying to do this on a "budget" and so far I have $140 in heims and the cone and high misalignment spacers to mount them and about $60 for the arms. I had the shocks from another quad. Next I have to either lengthen the stock 230 tie rods or shorten the 250r tie rods. This arm project took ALOT of head scratching and looking at this and looking at that to get it to fit. I cant wait to get it all together and see how it works. If you have any questions on what I did please don't hesitate to contact me, I'm sure I forgot a few things. To go back to a recent post about exhaust, a Honda crf230 muffler is a REAL close fit, either the black steel one or the anodized one but I am not sure of the years but I think 2000-07.

Very cool. My other hobby (addiction) is my Jeep rock crawler, so that was my first question, is where the heims and bungs came from. Barnes is awesome and cool to see they offer smaller heims/parts. I'd like to see more pics and I'd even them correctly for you . Thanks for keeping this awesome thread alive with some good tech!
