Mike, It sounds to me like the rings are installed incorrectly. That could explain the compression numbers and the smoking. Was it smoking before the rebuild? Was it bored, or just honed? Did you replace the valve seals? The timing on these is pretty easy and straight forward. You get it to TDC and line up the mark on the flywheel with the mark on the case and then you line up the two marks on the cam with the top of the head. The lt230 vault have a good photo of the cam marks and you can find it at https://sites.google.com/site/suzuki...s/timing-marks

I have a 1987 lt230e brake that I tried to bleed the other day and there was brake fluid everywhere because the seals inside were bad and I took those out and there was a lot of Rustin there. I want to replace the whole thing but it's like 70-100$ would I be able to use another quads brake caliper and use that because I found a warrior 350 caliper for $30 on eBay. Please respond asap

230e the odds that the warrior caliper will fit are slim, but I am no expert on the interchange for your quad. I would look at other suzukis that have the same part number to locate a used one.
Here are the suzukis that have the same caliper:
Hope this helps.100

You should just be able to tap them out with a socket and extension dude. Use a socket that fits the outer bearing race so your not hammering on the ***** inside the bearing. And I wouldn't put them in the powdercoat oven. Don't know for sure but I am pretty sure heating the bearings to 400deg especially for 20min will ruin them. Bearings can get hot but not a arm bearings. And lastly, IDK what you have on your LT230 but I think the stock A-Arms just have bushings not bearings. Either way don't put the bearings or bushings (whatever you have) in the oven. PS looking at my LT230 it seems the a arms have bushings which would make sense as they have no grease zerks. Does that make sense?

If it's the chart that I made, then yeah, it's accurate.
