It is about an inch longer and should work, however all the ones I have seen for sale must be made out of gold for what people are asking for them.

Says 12.63 vs 13.00 here: http://www.worksperformance.com/pdf/app_guide/atv.pdf Only 3/8 difference or so.

They are good shocks is why they're so high. The 250 rides like a cloud compared to the 230 that rides like a log wagon. I liked the shocks so much, I got a set of front ones for my 230 off ebay.

I don't know if you know,,, but my buddy has a 250s. I used to ride it all the time, but its down now getting a rebuild. I tell ya what, the 250 makes the 230 like a real POS! Its like Cadillac vs old-beater-pickup difference. Its too bad they only made them 2 years.... I think it was on par with the Mojave and 250x.... Maybe even better.

Yeah i heard they were nice. I believe by the time they made the 250 the Mojaves and 50X were so entrenched in the market that the Zuk could not steal any buyers from them?

I occasionally look at eBay for 250 shocks and one of these days maybe I will get lucky.

e-bay nerd here check these out http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...116QQitemZ140155751394 or http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...120QQitemZ120283610120 for those extending s-arm this is a 15 inch shock http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...116QQitemZ190174028036 unfortunantly sellers usually do not include lengths and you ask them hoping they respond b-4 item ends. I always include spring length and eye to eye length when I list a shock.

2 of those are ute shocks, but the other.... for $15 bucks I'd bid on that! Unless Seth wants it. Let me know.... Only 4 days left. I'm happy with the stock 230 shock, but $15 bucks for a 250s shock.... Sure!

I also agree that Suzuki was too late with the 250s. Everybody already decided to go with honda n kawi by then. So, suzuki cut the whole sport line for nearly 15 yrs. They just made utes.

Any shock with a rez is like night and day. Not sure of the science behind it, but it works. Something about cooling the fluid in them?

Hey Guys thought I'd post some info on plastic. I used to sell this stuff called " the hole solution " by a company called " Anchor Tite ". It is a fiberglass reinforced polyester that is sunlight or UV activated. Very flexable and formable. Also waterproof, paintable and you can drill and tap into it. My 230 is an '87 and was never in a garage so the plastic is extremely britle and I'm not very kind to it, so lots of cracks. This stuff stops the cracks and makes that area stronger. You still see the crack a little but IT DOES NOT SEPERATE! I even broke a big chunk off the rear fender and I put it on the backside of the crack with some support and in 30 minutes it's cured and it don't look too bad. Just buying time for new plastic but it does work well.

Hey Randy,
Haven't heard back from Motoman yet so we just radiused the edge of the big ledge on the floor of the intake port on my head and installed the Wiseco Hi-Comp piston stock bore size. Decked the head and jug slightly and enlarged the main jet size 2 # drill sizes. We believe the compression is right at 11.2:1. I broke it in like Moto says for about 20 minutes. Now my son-in-laws 300ex that we just bored can't catch up.

I am watching that 250 shock. I can't tell if it has been painted of if the flash washed it out. I am worried about buying one, getting it and then having to spend lots of money on a rebuild. Anybody know the cost of a shock rebuild?

They say a pic is worth a 1000 words, but in this case there's really nothing to see except a 5-6ft trench that's about 5-6ft deep that goes back about 100 ft. Next to the trench there's big piles of dirt/clay being dried by the sun. I'm currently taking advantage of the relatively dry weather to remove the piles.

I only went down 5-6 ft because I hit rocks. Not solid rock, but packed tight gravels. Plus, at the time it would flood faster than I could dig it. The funny thing is now its almost dry back there. After all this rain, somehow the water table dropped. I don't get it. It rains just enough to make the piles of dirt turn to mud, but not enough to keep up the water table. Weird, but at least I don't have to pump water around.

Anyway, the plan is to work from back to front expanding my trench. When the trench is wide enough, I'll move the digger down into it and see if I can dig in the rock. If not, the pond will only be 5-6 ft deep.
