I'm going to give the 32mm carb one more shot. I got it working on the Lakota so well, I'm willing to try it one more time on the Qsport.

Well, there are two types of needle-jets... Primary and bleed. Mikuni says the bleed is for the 4-stroke engine and the primary for the 2-stroke. But, what I've found out is the primary works better in low-vacuum situations (which 2-strokes are, but 4-strokes can be with a big carb too). So, I couldn't get the bleed type to work on either the 230 or the lakota no matter what I did, but the primary type does work on the lakota. Now I'm going to try it on the 230/250 whatever it is.

The bleed type is on the left and the primary on the right:

What the hell is this thread doing 3 pages back, over a week and no new posts! lol. I'm kinda thinking of picking a a LT250r project, it was stipped to the frame, blasted and powder coated, never re-assembled. it needs a-arms, the engine needs a cylinder. he wants $250 for it all. I'm a little weary of the engine work and I have no place to keep it, so something else would have to go

Well, I got the clutch fixed up on the bayou and have been diggin n hauling dirt for my pond before the rains come this winter.

I had to do the same type of repair to the lakota. It also needs a new one-way clutch and I'm waiting to find one on ebay... $70 for a new one is not sitting too well with me right now. Especially when its not really a necessary part. So, there's a big puddle of oil on the floor with half the engine torn down and I haven't even been in the garage in a week.

I got my needle-jets in the mail a long time ago.... They're packaged up nicely sitting here next to me.

My buddy broke his arm when he hit a tree a few weeks ago... So, we're not working on his warrior right now either.

My time is all being taken with this economy and the pond right now. When it rains, then it will change.

I don't know what to say about the 250r project. I guess it depends on how much time and money you have. If you do get it, I can't see you riding your 230 anymore.

Put it on the back of your truck.

How much do you want to spend?

Seems like I've heard good things about that oil.
