Yeah they have some really nice stuff in there tech section. I'll have to take a look at it later. Our Outlander has that SST frame and its super nice. I can get over a log on the trail that comes up to the racks! Just slide over the top of it. And the TTi suspension is stunning as well. Its so light.

That is the clearance your machinist uses to bore it out. When its done, there should be .002 inches between the piston skirt and the bore. No clue to the piston size from that. What's the part number?

Its a sweet site but all it really says though is longer is better to reduce scrub. Which makes perfect sense.

Did they used to have dimensions and everything?

It shows attack angle and why a higher one is better. That's effectively what I did by putting 23's on the front and 20's in back. Plus I lowered the rear shock. It dances over bumps now. Lowering the back was one of the best things I ever did to the 230.

What made me think of canam was the 250R frame being wider than the 230 frame. Kind of a step in the wrong direction for a race frame according to canam.

But before I went all-out on mine I managed to lower the rear end a good inch by cutting the top mount of the rear shock and drilling a new hole. Like this:

Lowering the back also changes the caster and makes the front wheels aways want to go straight (if you're moving forward that is). I actually went a little overboard with the caster.... Mine takes a bit of effort to turn the handlebars now. But after a minute of riding I forget all about it. Just notice it coming off another quad.

Randy, do you remember the diameter of tube you used on your extension project?</end quote></div>

Oh, I totally missed this question.

No, I don't remember, but its the same size as the tube that the arms are made of.

My first project I used 460 Ford wrist pins. They were 3.25 inches long and very thick and tough. My second go I used some galvanized plumbing pipe from lowes, lol. Nothing fancy and I didn't want to make a special trip to the steel place here in town.

It was already there.... I just cut the bottom off it and drilled a new hole.
