Default 85 to 88 Suzuki LT230S Quadsport help.

At least I found mention of tailpipes.... Finally. I knew they mattered.

"In all muffler designs the tailpipe length can have an important effect. The tailpipe itselfacts as a resonant cavity that couples with the muffler cavity. The attenuation characteristics of a muffler are modified if the design tailpipe is not used."

But that's it so far. I'll keep reading. http://myfwc.com/boating/airboat/Section3.pdf

That is cool and makes it easier to understand. Also, I remember a little more about the old hot rod guy. He was using an airbox like a " helmholtz resonator " to make ram air more efficient. Or so he said.

Is it just a stamped piece of steel? Can you fit it under the plastic guard?</end quote></div>

I wonderif I have that under my plastic guard?

atvman29, when are you getting your new arms?</end quote></div>

Hopefully sometime this week. The guy on ebay hasn't responded to my last question yet.

No, I just left the tailpipe undone and was wanting to finish it. I got the airfilter protected from mud and was checking out the back end of the quad when the tailpipe caught my curiosity.

Ok, so the guy said he'd throw in the front brake lines for $30. Is that worth it? How hard would it be to extend the brake lines myself? I've never really looked at them. He still thinks he can get $100 for the tie rods, so F that, I can make some.

I don't know how much steel braided lines cost. Probably about that much.

A few bucks will get you regular steel lines from autozone.
