That sucks, but if you were worried about all of that stuff happening, you wouldn't be riding at all, or you'd have to find yourself a Michelin Man suit! I'm not a pro racer or anything so I'm just trying to stay alive in the case of a freak accident. And I like to think of myself as a smart rider; I've never crashed or wiped out, and only slowly rolled our Outlander once doing donuts in the sand in my 7 years of riding!

Talk to PG about wiping out!
I can't say nearly as much, but I've gone over the bars more times than I can count. Everytime I do, I bang up my leg. Last time, I tried to make a turn on a 250ex (must have thought I was on the quadsport or something) and the quad bicycled, fell sideways, and plowed a tree. My knee knocked the kill switch off.
I was riding a little while ago and my biggest fear was clippin a tree with that wide front end I got. That would suck! I guess the quad would go spinning around and I'll be flying thru the air. Then I'd have to fix the bent frame and a-arm. I'd about cry after all that work I've put into it. Yeah, my cousin w/ the 250X is the one that wipes out or breaks something at least once a trip. I think he's rolled every four wheeler either of our families have ever owned. Last trip he wheelied his 250X into a tree and got ejected, and I think that was the same trip that he popped his bead and bent his rear wheel spacers. He rode a POS ATC110 for years and that thing was upside down more than it was right side up.
His worst crash was when he rolled his 3 wheeler 2 about 20mph into the worlds largest thorn bush patch. Some of the thorns were about an inch long and his head was about 4 inches from a tree. Luckily the thorns stopped him in time. He had a mild concussion on that one.
His favorite type of crash seems to be wrapping his front wheel around stumps when he takes a turn too sharp which then whips the back end around, bends the a-arms, rolls the wheeler, and ejects him.

The funniest crash ever though was my other cousin on a 3 wheeler...... He was going up a steep hill in front of me when I was on the Ozark, and his front end started to come up super slow, but he didn't do anything about it so it kept slowly going backwards. Well, he slid down the seat and his back was laying on the ground while he was still holding on to the wheeler falling backwards and by the time it was all over, he was on the ground on his back and the wheelers front tire was on my front rack, haha!

LOL, that's funny stuff! He sounds like my 250S friend. There's 250S plastic littered all over N. GA. from failed wheelies.
One time he was riding my bayou (we were taking turns on the 230) and he drove striaght off the mountain! Luckily his face caught that tree or he might have really gotten hurt. The bayou wasn't so lucky.... We had to winch and push at the same time to get it back up the cliff. I was way out in front and when I came to the next split in the trail, I was doing donuts waiting for those guys to catch up. Well, they never came. So, I headed back up the trail expecting to run head-on into them eventually, but ended up seeing my friend standing there with a bloody nose and no quad! I could see he was "ok", so I said, "well, where's the bayou?" He won't let me live that down, lol. Him standing there bleeding and me wondering where the quad went. We'll be telling that story to grandkids.
I guess that wasn't the first time he did that. They were into bikes before I moved back and, apparently, he jumped off a cliff in much the same fashion. 2 guys knew the trail,,,, and he didn't. He tried to keep up on his 125 with the other 2 having 250's, but that last jump was a doosey!

So you saved him? Cool! That's a good story.

I was thinking about gettin a 350x trike at one time. Not sure if I want something that powerful with 3 wheels. Maybe a big red is more my speed. I need something to wear down the hump that forms in the middle of my trails.

Yeah, some guys swear by trikes. If you know how to ride them, they'll womp on quads. If you don't, it'll womp on you!
