it reminds me of a race i did last year, when some stupid honda decided to do a backflip in front of me on a hillclimb (well, i was kinda following too close) which resulted in me doing the same. my bars got bent back so far that the rear edge of the steering stem plate (the top piece) put gouges in my plastics above my tank. i bailed (in front of a crowd of 70+ people, of course XD) but got my bike back on all fours and bent the bars back to "kinda straight" right on the spot. my tether killswitch was stuck in the off position so i whipped out a knife and cut one of the wires leading to it (a big no-no according to the AMA haha). First kick my 230 roared to life and i shot up the hill in true suzuki fashion (hahaha) i could hear the crowd cheering and i thought that was kinda cool since i was on a 23 year old 230 while the other 90% of riders were on fancy new 450's and such. anyways, i finished the race and returned to my trailer. while i was strapping the bike down i grabbed a hold of the bars to steady myself, and SNAP! the bars came clean off and i busted my @$$ in front of even more people. i couldnt believe how lucky i was that they didnt let loose in the middle of the race!

from that day on i always check for stress cracks or anything like that before every ride haha...
hey thanks man, sound like that story could have ended pretty bad!

Everyone, PLEASE feel free to submit how-to articles even if they're just quick little paragraphs w/o pics! The more stuff we get on the site, the better!

I guess I can be thankfull that I wasn't going 50 mph when it happened.

No wonder atvs were gettin a bad rap in the 80's.

Its kind of strange that everyone's had broke at a non-riding time!

Edit: That I've heard of.

You should integrate a warning into the website.

And maybe a "common complaint" or "frequent issues" section.

Alright, the page is there under help and how-to, now it just needs to be filled! But I don't have time now, too much to do. I'll work on it some tomorrow or Friday after finals.

You have calc 1 and 2 at the same time? I didn't know you could do that.

It sucks but I'm retaking them in attempt to salvage my GPA. Chemistry ruined me.
