I think gforce is probably right though, probably save a lot of time and money and aggravation just sending the whole thing to Kustom Kraft or 4 stroke tech and have them do it all.

It costs about $200 to resleeve around here. That was one of the reasons mine is still a 243.

Although, I've toyed with the idea of just throwing the jug in the campfire, lol. The sleeve will fall right out on the ground when you pick the jug up. Not sure how to get the new one in though.

Gforce, what is the distance from hole to hole on the shock mounts on the 250r frame? 400 frame? If they are close to the 230, the shocks will bolt right up and be mighty close to stock geometry.

When suzuki made the 250s, they added length to the arms, but kept the top shock mounts the same as the 230.... they just added longer shocks. So, the shocks lay flatter.

Well I know the 2001 Honda 400EX shocks measured 16.25" from frame shock mount to the shock mount on the a-arm.

The frame shock mount on the Honda was deffinitely higher up on the frame than ours is. They even designed the front plastics to accomidate the much higher shock mount.

The 250R, well the info is coming from the post of the owner of said quad but he stated a few post ago that his 1987 Suzuki LT250R had 15.25" shocks. That's about 3.50" longer then ours.

Oh lol...sorry I didn't measure that on the Honda. I'm not connecting the dots I guess cause not sure why that would be a factor

I'm thinking the 250r frame and the 230 are pretty close. I bet you could bolt the 250 shocks up and have close to stock 250r geometry.

Ok well I think I am going to run with this and give it a whirl. So JustRandy do you think I will need to get the 250R tie rods as well? What did you do for your tie rods when you extended your a-arms by 3.25" each side?
