for just a simple upgrade to an lt230s you can drill a few small holes in the plastic piece that runs from the carb to the airbox. this allows it to get just enough more air to run alot better. i have done this to my 230 and it made a large difference. i would also sugest that you put the wholes in the top or inner side where the least dirt will get in them

oh i alsmost forgot. as far as boring. mine is bored 40 over with a weisco piston and it runs great

Maybe so...but that would bypass the air filter.

Then lord knows what kind of stuff is flying in.

The lighter base coat really made the paint pop out. i was impressed.
