My dealer (Winnipeg, Canada) wants to sell me a 3 yr warranty for $1100............he told me that I could have had it for $900 if I had bought it when I purchased the atv (05 kING QUAD) in November 05 but since its now "after the fact" the ante is up $200.....seems pretty stiff........any options out there?, should I buy it? or hope I never need it...seems to me $1100 (plus GST 7%) can purchase some pretty significant repairs over 3 years....and thats still very early in the machines lifetime.....I would think thats right when I DON'T NEED the warranty.....I would appreciate it if you could share your experiances and opinions on this subject.....thanks.

 

..NO one in our group has ever bought an extended warrenty...the 6month standard is a joke..I like the 3 year warranty that is offered free from other MFG's !!

 

If you do get it..... Read all the fine print, make sure you know what is covered, I got screwed on my snowmobile warrenty.

 

got the warranty, and I blew the front end of my King Quad, my falt, but the bill was 2700$ and Zusuki payed for it, not a penny out of my pocket.

 

Pitou......wow thats expensive.............was that within the 6 month warranty or the extended?...and what the h, e, double hockey sticks happened to the front end?......anything the rest of us KQ owners should be aware of....thanks... and Borgy....what should I be looking for....can you expand on your bad experiance with the extended warranty....

 

i have the Suzuki Warranty. my 04 frame cracked back in june, i welded it ... few weeks ago it broke again and suzuki MAY NOT COVER IT..
also the wheel bearing went and the dealer said that may not be covered...bull crap!

The Suzuki Extended Service Plan has to be purchased within 6 months of the sale. Yes they are available on ebay but I paid $440 (US) for mine through my dealer. I think your dealer is just trying to squeeze you for more cash. Get on the telephone and call a differant dealer and ask for a warranty price... you may be surprised.

I have them on both my machines. Having a new machine with out a warranty is like not having health insurance. It is real important versus the cost.

 

The the 2 shafts and the front end casing was replace on mine. The two drive shafts pullled out of the front end.
It is nothing to worry about, its not a defect in the quad, the quad is a good machine. It was a year after i bought it

 

Bought my king in september and was planning to get the extended warrenty before mine runs out, will enquire tommorrow how much--will let you know, i live in bc so the prices should match
