Thats some pretty nice numbers for a pump gasser! I'm thinking about picking up an athena kit. I've heard a lot of good things about it. 25 for stock seems low, but every dyno is different. and if thats the case, your athena numbers are low too! What carb are you running on that thing? I would guess probably an FCR39, they seem to have the best gains that I've seen.

do it!!!! i was going that way then i had a chance to buy a banshee. i wanted that athena kit bad!!! i saw stewbing(on this forum) at clash of the titans- sisily island, louisiana and he has the 434 kit ported polished (forgot what carb he was running), he had alot of 450's cleaning sand off their nose pieces.
someone on this forum said go with the"hammerheadz piston" , its another $200 but its suppose to be sick!!!

Ya. I hear hammerheadz are pretty wicked pistons. I'll probably just go with a wiseco or JE, Asside from that, I believe the hammerheadz are higher compression and require you to run race gas. With the price of gas right now, I sure as hell dont want to go that route! Premium pump fuel is around $3.15/gal right now, I'm sure race fuel is around $7-8/gal. I'll probably pickup an FCR39 from a YFZ450 off ebay for cheap. I'll be eating piped/jetted 450s for breakfast!
BTW, are you running with a DRZe base gasket? if not, you arent getting the advertised compression of your piston. Advantage Cycle (http://www.advantagecyclelc.com) offers a DRZe conversion kit, which includes the DRZe base gasket, DRZe valve springs (stronger than your stockers) and a DID cam chain for about $150. Its well worth it. Also with the CDI you have, (I have the same one) You'll be able to run it at +2000 RPM without having to worry about floating a valve. Just a suggestion.
