hello im looking at the z400 or kfx400 im a yami guy have four now but am really looking at the z400 or kawis 400 none in the yami line i care for only ride trails and woods roads and use for fishing etc no racing at all would the z400 fit the bill never owned a suzuki so im lost as far as reliability they been around for ever so i assume there well built to stand the test of time, is the z a good woods and trail quad? i got a warrior and love it but its old school and i want to upgrade also anyone have any thoughts on kawasaki's kfx 400? that looks like a nice one also, my boy cant wait for me to decide so he can have the warrior, thanks guys for the help. oh almost forgot any ideas on the 700 would be great also. thanks

 

The KFX & Z are identical. The Z is a great woods quad. I would have a hard time deciding between the Z and Raptor 700 if I were buying.

 

I wanted my wife to enjoy the sport and ride with me so we bought the Z400. She was not all that excited but after riding the quad a couple of times she can't wait to go out. It's suspension is really top shelf and is more like buying a Caddy!!! Also it has the most comfortable seat, like they made it from that memory foam or something! Hope this helps...

 

For the type of riding your talking about the Z400 is great. One word of caution though. Suzuki has A bad problem of keeping part's on stock, Everything is alway's back order. I love my Z but will never buy Suzuki again because of this. Don't like waiting 3 weeks to 3 month's for part's.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]

 

My wife has an 05 Z400 with a Alba pipe,jet kit,k&n filter and cdi box. she also has the Elka shocks. This last weekend was our first trip with the mods. I was so impressed with It I sold My 400ex while at the dunes and Buying a 06 Z400 today with the same mods done to it. My Suzuki dealer has most all parts in stock and I haven't had any problems getting any thing I need, I would be Leaning on individual dealers being better or worse as far as stocking commin parts.
