If you want to limit top end speed why not put the CVT reduction collar back in? THat is what its designed for. WIth the collar in your limiting top end at the tranny, and not at the expense of the motor like the stock CDI does...

My recommendation
-3 rollers
-Dynatek CDI
-CVT collar in

And yes the Dynatek does advance the timing curve over stock. Not to mention it gives a much better idle and starts on the first pull about every time (I dont run a battery)

A guy offered me 1200 for mine today. I turned him down. Maybe if no else wants to buy it. But for now Ill stay at 1500. Thats what its worth in the nada guide not counting all the things I have done to it. Am I crazy?

EdKatt,

How do you like the outlaw 90. When I sale this turd that is what I was thinking of replacing it with. Give me some feedback. Now I am looking at the 08 4-stroke. Is yours a 4-stroke?

What happened I'm gone for a few days and sounds like everyones selling.Hope we don't lose everyone! That said lets get back to talking, first the air fuel ratio screw setting,{out does add more air} turn out till highest RPM then an extra 1-1 1/2turns done lock down.Second timing curves {Typicaly timing starts @ a preset level 8-20 deg.& then is adv.to be earlier as RPM increases up to about 3,500 RPM were timing caps out @ about 38 deg.BTDC} If your sons/daughters are anything like mine the only time that quad is at or below that RPM is when its being laoded/offloaded everyone have fun see ya

Does shaving the head make a big difference?
Also, how about porting and polishing?

that depends on what other mods you've already done, just a mill with no CDI,jets etc. you probably wont notice any increase these things need a few mods to start to bring it to life most are fairly straightfoward easy
