Can someonel please tell me the stock restrictions on the Z50 (I have just bought one and it didn't have the correct manual!!!).

Someone mentioned about the spacer? Is this in the carb?

There is virtually no bottom end power. After being used to the LT-A50, this is a big disappointment. I'm sure it will go faster than it presently does
????

Anything I need to do in the transmission or air box?

Any help greatly appreciated.

Just installed the LTZ90 cdi box. It increased the wheel rpms from 300rpms to 550 rpms. Hauling my fat butt on flat ground it was about 18.4 mph (according to my gps) motor was still under a load going down a slight grade it was up to 24.3 mph withthe little guy on I thinkit will go a lot faster. So you can gear it down a good bit and still keep a decent speed. No increase in low end power not that I thought it would. But it is a start.

Kingquad450,

That is great news! I haven't had a chance to retest my boys 50 with the new LTZ90 CDI. I hope I get the same results! Oh and you can increase the low end grunt by lightening the clutch weights with no sprocket change... Give it a try you will be surprised!

Good Luck,

Hibrass

Yes those little rollers are the key to improved low end performance. Use a drill bit and remove and equel amount material from all of the rollers. ( Go in small steps.) I started by taking one then two rollers out of the clutch and testing to see how it worked. Once I decided the numbers of rollers (One in my case.) I measured its weight on the one roller and devided by six and experimented until I took that amount off each roller. Then reassembled the clutch. Seems to be working so far...

Sorry man,

It was a 1/4 inch bit and I drilled down about 3/8 of an inch... If I find my notes I will post the numbers. But a brief search as yielded nothing so far...

1/4 bit with 3/8 depth into each roller
Or a 1/4 inch pilot and finished with a 3/8 of an inch all the way through

How many rollers are there, 6???
