I used a 1/4 inch bit and drill into the weight to a depth of about 3/8 on an inch... And there are 6 roller weights in the LTZ50 clutch. You may have to adjuct to suit your riders taste but it doesn't take that long about an hour all told...

Good Luck,

Did your rollers already have a hole thru them? Took a look at them tonight and they have 15/64 hole all the way thru them. We took three rollers out all together made a big difference,so drilled them out to 19/64. Lost one of the dowels in the side cover so I need to make a new one

The rollers(variator weights) come in different weights(grams). My sons little Kfx50 came with 8g weights. I installed 6g weights and it definitely helped with the takeoff. Or, you can remove three of the weights and evenly space the other three weights for better takeoffs. Scooter websites offer a variator weights in different sizes and weights.

I removed three of them yesterday to try why waiting on the new sprockets. The biggest problem now is I got it going so fast it needs to be turned way down for him to ride that is onlt running about 1/3 throttle if that
