Welcome to the forums.
I'll guess 100-120 pounds.

Thaks alot LT80,

I'm reading about 75p.s.i. on about the third crank. Looks like I'll have to tear into it.

Thanks again LT80,

Shaun

FYI: hold the throttle wide open and spin motor till the compression peaks. 3 spins may not be enough.

i still get 75 p.s.i., i was told if i pour a little oil (teaspoon) in the cylinder, put the plug back in crank a couple of times, and if there's a big difference in compression then the rings or the cylinder needs attention!! i done this and i went from 75 p.s.i. to 105p.s.i.

thanks again LT80,
shaun

Will the engine start at all , or try to start 81dmc12 ? If not i would check the valve clearance before going any futher with your test ; if the valve clearance is off spec's it can give you an abnormal reading !....

Well, the coil is shot, carb was filthy, and while I was waiting on parts, I started tinkering with stuff. The guy I was working on it for just wanted me to get it running for now.

Thanks Williebee
