hello im am new to this nite but im a member to hihgliffter farm well i have a 2004 eiger an well i have a problom with it an im in need of help!!!!!!!!!. well i can start my bike an it well idle but when you go to gave it gas it well shut down an you can also gave it a lil bit of gas in the choke is on.. so we pulled the carb out an we cleaned it an then u checked all the jets an then we put it back in an doning the same thang so im at a loos on this but yet it well BACKFIRE THROW THE CARB AN THATS A NEW ONE TO ME so can comeone please help me or call my cell phone if i dont pick up leave a voicemail 1304-614-8377 my name is peewee

Check out my latest post and see if it helps...titled "Guess the answer! P.S. Don't be an idiot like me! Also, make sure the vent hose from the carb to the airbox isn't kinked/pinched off by the airbox tube. One other thing...make sure the vacuum hose from the carb to the petcock isn't pinched either.

I have an '04 Eiger Auto. I had a similar problem. Quad ran fine for the first tank, I re-filled the tank with some gas from the local sunoco, and quad ran fine. (for a while) Started sputtering, and spitting like crazy on the trail, was able to limp it home. It would run and idle ok, but hit the gas, and it sputtered backfired, and stalled. Long story short, after checking everything, I pumped out the gas, filled with super, let it idle for about 5 minutes, problem solved.
Note: Needed to let it idle for a while, at least 5 minutes.
