A comp check may tell alot.
To be sure, pull the top plastic off the motor and take the head off.

I'm up by Erie Pa. Prolly too far.

thanks for the reply the were in some heavy mud then about 1 hour later she was just riding down the trail and it stalled i tried to start it and it will start but has a metallic noise when runiing i took it to a buddy who is a car mechanic and he said it sounds like it is in the clutch so i took off the cover to look at the clutch no loose parts nothing looks broken so now what do i do also checked the compression before i tore the clutch cover off i get a reading of 110 on one tester and 125 on the other so it sounds like the top end is okay any ideas before i reassemble and take it to the suzuki shop and pay to much tnanks

Could be a wrist pin bearing or rod or even a crank bearing ....If u can start it and it runs okay just the noise is prolly one the other.....Not to much parts in side it thay moves just with it running...I think it has to be some where from wrist pin down.. good luck hope it helps

While the clutch cover is off, naturally you should maintenence the clutchs. That will insure 100% that it is not the clutchs.
Also, remove the spark plug and turn the motor over by hand with the clutch. See if there is the grinding noise.

I've also seen cooling fan bits broken in the casing on an LT-80.
