just got back from riding in ashville NC, this guy i ran into there had a z400 with auto clutch... im not really familiar with the z400 but i think they use a clutch, i asked him if he had it made out the factory like that and he said it came like that off the showroom floor. has anyone else ever seen seen a z400 like that?

Never...... and if it came off the floor like that the dealer did it because Suzuki didn't........ the z250 has an auto clutch but not the z400.......
A company called Rekluse makes a "no stall" clutch for sport quads, that is as close to an auto as you are going to get on a manual clutch machine.....

at first i thought mabye it was the 250, but it was a 400 and it had an auto clutch, i cant seem to figure out how the **** it came off the floor like that. mabye it was a special case and the person who had it made decided not to buy it, i dont know. when i mentioned to the guy about the clutch he said he didnt know they had a clutch, he thought they were all like that. he was a older guy so i dont think he knew alot about quads...

It didn't even have a clutch lever?
Because a Rekluse system still uses a clutch level to start off.... it just won't stall if you stop...... but the clutch is still there and will work like a normal clutch if engaged.....
I believe a 250ex has a similar system.....
Either way that is strange.... and it had to be a dealer mod of some kind.
