hey i just bought a 87 lt 230 and im refurbishing it i just took a part the engine because it smoked a bit i defiantly want to but a wiseco piston and bore it but what should i bore it to?? im looking to spent about 300 on the engine so what else should i do ?

You should check the rod. If the rod is loose (which it almost certainly is), your new bore job will wear out in about a year or so.... Depending how hard you ride it. If you opt not to change the rod, then bore it the minimun you can since you'll need to rebore it everytime it wears out again. And tell the machinist to make the bore as tight as he can. You need the very best work in this case!
