Belt bark on 06 Eiger auto 4X4
#1
Ok this is my first post and I thought this would be the best place to come for help. I have noticed when I first start to back up a hill I hear what sounds like a squeak or a bark from a belt slipping. It is only for just a split second and once the ATV starts moving it doesn't seem to slip at all. It doesn't happen in the forward gears either. the atv only has 650 miles on it but I admit that is 650 working miles. I use it to pull a swisher lawn mower in the summer and to plow 3 driveways in the winter. I always use low range when plowing and mowing. Could this be just the CVT belt or am I looking at something more serious? I haven't had a single problem out of the atv other than this belt bark sound. So what do you folks think?

I forgot to add that it seems to get worse after it warms up. Basically after I have plowed snow for a while. If I am on a very steep hill and have to back up I basically can't stop it from doing it but if the hill isn't too steep I can baby the throttle and it won't make the sound. I do work this ATV very hard and it has been great. I have plows for it and I use it to plant food plots also. For the amount of work that it has done it has been a great ATV.
